Sandy, Utah — Owners in Honor, a national nonprofit dedicated to Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition (ETA) for Veterans, Service Members, and Military Families, will host Acquisitions and Exits: Community Fireside on Friday, June 12, 2026, at Mountain America Credit Union in Sandy, Utah. The event is presented in conjunction with DAV Patriot Boot Camp's entrepreneur cohort, and will run from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. MT.

The Community Fireside brings together bankers, business brokers, exit planners, entrepreneurs, and community leaders for a focused conversation on practical pathways into Main Street business ownership and transition planning. Designed for Veterans, Military Spouses, and Military Families, the program offers direct access to the advisors and ecosystem partners who support every stage of the ownership lifecycle, from acquisition through exit.

This event represents a meaningful expansion of the veteran entrepreneurship conversation, moving beyond startup models to address business acquisition, succession planning, long-term ownership, and the preservation of locally rooted businesses through veteran leadership.

"Veterans bring exactly the kind of discipline, leadership, and long-term thinking that Main Street businesses need. Events like this one exist to put the right people in the same room, connect veteran buyers and operators with the advisors and capital partners who can help them move forward, and show the military-connected community that business ownership is a real and viable path." said Patrick Flood, Founder and CEO of Owners in Honor.

"DAV shares Owners in Honor's confidence in the abilities of veterans and our partnership opens new avenues for those who've served to achieve their maximum professional potential," said DAV Chief Communications & Outreach Officer Dan Clare. "DAV Patriot Boot Camp's focus on founders and OIH's focus on Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition expands our shared offerings. Together, we expand and expedite paths to success for veteran entrepreneurs and spouses."
